Our review of Hayride 2 (2015) dives into the story, the scares, and whether it truly delivers the horror fans crave.
Hayride 2 (2015) is an American horror movie that is 92 minutes long that was a total waste of my time. This movie was plain awful, and I am beginning to think, why are so many terrible movies being made and why do they exist? Think about all the movies that failed, all the money that was spent on those movies - that money should have gone to better use like donating it to an orphanage or charity. Director and writer Terron R. Parsons failed at making Hayride (2012) and failed at his second attempt. Terron needs to leave being a director to others who has the potential to execute a movie worth watching. It was nice that the movie gave the backstory to Pitchfork’s past and his parents although it was not relevant to the movie.
Hayride 2 begins by showing us Pitchfork/Rayborn (Bennett Wayne Dean Sr. - Heavens Fall (2006), The Night Shift (2011), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)) inside an ambulance taking him to the hospital. Pitchfork wakes up in the ambulance and attacks the nurse taking care of him. The ambulance driver does not hear anything of the commotion going on in his van and only found out what is happening after Pitchfork stabs him. He then somehow appears at the hospital that survivors from Hayride (2012) are receiving treatment. Pitchfork continues his killing spree at the hospital killing everyone that is in his path/way.
He eventually found who he was looking for, Amanda (Sherri Eakin - Forever Young (2015), Tomorrow (2012), Hayride (2012)) and carries her away. Why did he not kill Amanda - I do not know because it was never explained. Will Jeremy and Steven be able to save Amanda from the dreadful Pitchfork? If you are still the least bit interested in finding out - watch the movie but do not say that I did not warn you that you are in for a boring ride.
The actors all did a mediocre job with their roles, and the script did not help the actors. Everything about the movie was bland and stale. There is nothing good to say about the movie.
