Killjoy 2: Deliverance from Evil (2002) is a 1h 17-min rate R American fantasy slasher horror film that is a sequel to Killjoy (2000) that was shot in Antelope Valley, California, USA and Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA. Director and co-writer Tammi Sutton (Whispers (2015), Z’amour (2013)) disappointed me tremendously as I was hoping for a spectacular treat but I received the opposite instead. The movie contains an implication of s**ual act, but it is not seen, s**ual language, extreme graphic violence, bad language, and some terrible acting. Killjoy 2 was a killjoy (get it) 77 minutes where my joy was taken away from me because of this boring, plot hole filled movie that I should have stayed clear of but instead dived into it knowing that I might be disappointed. Why did I think Killjoy 2 was going to be better when the original Killjoy was not anything much to talk about.
The movie starts by showing us two police officers chasing Nicolas ‘Nic’ Gordon (Charles Austin) for selling cocaine. Nic, Raymond ‘Ray-Ray’ Martin (Choice Skinner - Brotherly Love (2011), Keep the Faith (2012), Wingman Inc. (2015)), Eddie, Ce-Ce, and Charlotte are caught about a week later. Detention officers, Denise Martinez (Debbie Rochon - Tromeo and Juliet (1996), Santa Claws (1996), Dollface (2014), Bleed (2002)) and Lt. Harris Redding were taking the group to Loxahatchee Canon. Loxahatchee Canon is a place where underage delinquents are sent to so that they can pay for their crimes. Will the minor criminals make it to the detention center after the vehicle carrying them blows its engine in a deserted area with no gas station nearby or any cell phone reception?
There was terrible/bad acting, awful characters with not much of a backstory, clowns that were annoying, weak dialogues, music that did not sync well with the movie and there were so many other things that were not good in the film. Horror fans and all types of fans should stay clear of this film and everything in its franchise.
