Our review of Let Me In (2010) dives into the story, the scares, and whether it truly delivers the horror fans crave.
Let Me In is the US remake version of the popular foreign vampire film Let the Right One In. This film is a very touching vampire movie that tries to both shows the vicious nature of vampires and the need for some vampires to connect with humans to protect them. You feel like this is a real vampire story being told which has been called "chillingly real" and "one of the best horror films of the year" by many critics.
In small New Mexico, a lonely, bullied boy, Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee - The Road), forms a unique bond with his new and suspicious new neighbor, Abby (Chloe Grace Moretz - Carrie, Dark Shadows, The Amityville Horror) who is a vampire. Abby both defends and comforts Owen. What Abby needs from Owen is terrifying in its sense.
I like the performance of Moretz but I still rather the original version. This remake hit all the same emotions and elements of the original but fell a little short somewhere.
