Horror fans will enjoy our review of Night of the Demons 2 (1994), where we cover its story, scares, and how it ranks among modern horror classics.

Night of the Demons 2 (1994) is a comedy horror movie that is the sequel to Night of the Demons (1988). Brian Trenchard-Smith (BMX Bandits (1983), Leprechaun 3 (1995), Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996)) did a marvelous job directing this awesome thriller horror movie. The movie contains nudity, s**ual scenes, violence, gore, bad language, frightening scenes, intense moments, thrills and suspense.

Nights of Demons 2 takes place six years after the gory murders on Halloween at the Hull House. All of the victims from the massacre that happened six years ago was recovered except for Angela Franklin’s (Amelia Kinkade - Night of the Demons III (1997), Night of the Demons (1988), My Best Friend Is a Vampire (1987)) body who is believed to be sent to Hell. Her parents mysteriously received a Halloween card from Angela with her signature on it a year after her disappearance/death. Her parents were so horrified that they committed suicide which leaves her sister Melissa/Mouse (Merle Kennedy - The Perfect Storm (2000), May (2002), Junior (1994), Nemesis (1992)) residing at St. Rita’s Academy. St. Rita’s is a Catholic school for teenagers who are troubled. The head nun, Sister Gloria (Jennifer Rhodes - Heathers (1988), Slumber Party Massacre II (1987), Charmed (1998)) at the school tried to stop Shirley Finnerty (Zoe Trilling - Night Terrors (1993), Dr. Giggles (1992), The Borrower (1991)) who is the school bully from spreading rumors about Mouse. Mouse continuously has nightmares about her sister Angela.

Shirley throws her own Halloween party at the Hull House because she was banned from attending the schools Halloween party for fighting with Kurt (Ladd York - Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996), Active Stealth (1999), Mach 2 (2001)) on the tennis court. She invited her boyfriend Rick (Rick Peters), Z-Boy (Darin Heames), Johnny (Johnny Moran), Bibi (Cristi Harris) and Terri (Christine Taylor) to attend her spiritual party. Shirley tricked Johnny, his girlfriend Bibi also and Bibi’s friend Terri to bring Mouse to the Hull house. Shirley stole a demonic book containing rituals from Perry (Robert Jayne - Tremors (1990), Pearl Harbor (2001), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001)) who is known as the schools’ genius. Angela is now awake and starts terrorizing everyone with her demonic wicked self. The group escapes the house except for one person, but those who left soon become demon possessed. A group of people tries to help the situation that is quickly getting out of control - Will they survive demonic Angela?

The movie was a great watch. The special effects, light, sets and music were all good. The actors did a good job with their parts. I gave the movie a six because whoever edited the movie failed - he/she did not join the scenes well to make it flow continuously. I enjoyed the ending scenes with the amount of gore it contains. It is not the type of movie that you would run out to the movie theaters to see but instead wait for it to hit DVD or VOD.
