Where does Nine Dead (2010) stand among horror films? Our review examines the scares, pacing, and what makes it unique in the genre.

Nine Dead (2010) is a rated R 1h 38 min is an American drama mystery-crime thriller-horror that as shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Director Chris Shadley (Spider-Man 2 (2004), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), Cloverfield (2008), The Muppets (2011)) did a good job executing this fabulous movie that is a cliche to the Saw (2004) movie. The video contains suspense, twist, bad language, gun, slightly detailed (explanation) r*pe, death, betrayal, robbery, corrupt cop, gore, gunshot wound, and a surprise ending.

There is no doubt that we/horror fans have seen this storyline numerous times where several people who are strangers to each other wakes up chained in a room and do not know/remember how they got there. Someone wearing a mask tells the group that they have to figure out why they are in the room within ten minutes, or someone will die if they do not figure out why they are there and the clock will then be reset and so forth. The group is comprised of a Vegas mafioso, a cop, a priest, older age non-English Asian female speaker, a thug, pharmaceutical male, a lawyer, an actor and a pedophile.

I gave this film a six because there were a few flaws including some stilted dialogue, cutting a lot of corners and that maybe due to funds running low and some goofs including a spelling mistake and other goofs. The flaws do not take away from the movie being an enjoyable watch. I mentioned above that Nine Dead is a cliche to Saw (2004), but Nine Dead did enough to stand above most movies that took many parts from other movies or is a cliche to other movies. I recommend other movie goers to watch this film because it was a fabulous movie that kept me guessing throughout the entire film.
