Inception Plot Synopsis:

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible - inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Inception (2010) Review

Inception (2010) is a 2h 28-min USA/UK sci-fi action-adventure-thriller film that grossed over $825 million from a budget of $160 million. Director and writer Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Interstellar (2014)) did a remarkable job and fulfilled all of my expectations for this film. I saw every trailer there was for this film and thought that maybe all the good parts was in the trailer. I had so many different thoughts about this movie, but one thing for sure was that I was eagerly awaiting the release of Inception. Inception delivers more than I imagined with incredible, breathtaking shots that were just mind-blowing and visually appealing. The movie was almost nearly perfect with minor hiccups here and there but nothing that will be recognized quickly. Not all movie fans will feel the same way about Inception as it is hard to understand if you do not pay attention.

Inception revolves around Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio - The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), The Departed (2006), Titanic (1997)) who is a professional thief that steals information from his victim’s subconscious. Dobb infiltrates the subconscious while the victim is in the dream state because the mind is more vulnerable and extracts/steals valuable information/secrets is easier during that time frame. Dobb’s unique ability has made him famous with bidders and also with the law as he is now an international fugitive. He lost everything that he has ever loved and has one chance to erase his criminal history. He is promised that his last job will help him to get back, but his last job is not his regular average job. The last job entails him to plant an idea instead of extracting information. Will Dobb’s survive his last mission that is nearly impossible as his victim predicts Dobb’s every movement?

All of the cast members gave us exceptional rock solid performances, especially Leonardo DiCaprio. The musical score was purely brilliant and is something that I do not mind listening to again. The special effects were excellent, and the movie was visually appealing on many levels. Inception was a great movie all around and is something that I will show to visitors/guests and recommend to adventure movie goers.
