Where does Skinwalkers (2006) stand among horror films? Our review examines the scares, pacing, and what makes it unique in the genre.

James Isaac directed Skinwalkers (2006) is a werewolf movie I was looking forward to seeing for a very long time. Skinwalkers grossed a little over $1 million at the US box office. Stars include Jason Behr, Elias Koteas, and Rhona Mitra in this werewolf film.

Skinwalkers is about a mother and her 12-year-old boy who get caught up in a feud between two werewolf packs. Rachel Talbot (Rhona Mitra) is the mother of Varek / Caleb Talbot (Jason Behr). Together they become the focal point of a werewolf war.

I watched Skinwalkers with high expectations, and I think that was the reason I disliked the film so much. The cast did mostly okay with their roles, but it did not help. Natassia Malthe and Kim Coates delivered good performances also but spoiler free, either the director or the screenplay was lacking. You can easily leave this film at the bottom of your werewolf movie watch list, and that is saying a lot.
