HellHorror’s review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) breaks down the plot, scares, cast performances, and its lasting impact on the horror genre.

This movie is generally an imitation of Friday the 13th, but a twist is put on who the killer is. At Camp Arawak, people are stabbed, scalded to death, drowned, and stung to death by bees before this weak movie comes to a disturbing climax. The final shot of this movie will unfortunately be stuck in your head for hours. Surprisingly, this flick and it’s sequels have a pretty good cult following. Not really worth seeing unless your into low budget horror.
