Speak No Evil 2 (2013) is an American horror movie that was filmed in Arizona. Director and writer Roze (The Blacksmith and the Carpenter (2007), Deadfall Trail (2009), Denial (2007)) failed at executing this movie. He probably failed because of his lack of experience in the writing and directing field. The movie was a bit slow in the beginning scenes but caught up to pace about 20 minutes later.
The movie is about all the small children in a village that disappeared overnight. The village is in a pandemonia because the police in their community is not enough to look for the missing kids. The parents and elders formed a search party and began their expedition looking for the children. Blame for the missing children are blamed on a very young feisty mother, Anna (Gabrielle Stone - 869 (2011), Henry John and the Little Bug (2009), Cut! (2014), Flowers in December (2015)) whose daughter disappeared the day before all the kids vanished. I was angry when a brick was thrown through her window with a not so very nice message. The kids suddenly reappeared in the village without a scratch on their body. After the families had gone back to their everyday life, they began to notice little by little that the kids are different. They soon realized that the kids they love so much are now cannibals.
The characters were blah, and the actors did try to do their best with the storyline/parts they were given. With all said, I did not feel the pain of any of the characters or any attachment towards them. I gave this movie a four because of the nice ending that was predictable and a cliche but refreshing at the same time. The movie could have been a hit if it were approached with different directing skills. The music was on par to the movie, and the sets were on the okay side. I would not recommend this movie to anyone, especially hardcore horror fans.
