HellHorror’s review of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) breaks down the plot, scares, cast performances, and its lasting impact on the horror genre.

30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) is a 1h 32-min rate R American thriller horror film that was based on Steve Niles’ 2004 graphic novel/comic book miniseries, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days and was a faithful adaptation. 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) is a sequel to the 30 Days of Night (2007) and is a prequel to 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails (2007). Director Ben Ketai failed upon executing this film into being something worthy of watching.

Stella (Kiele Sanchez - The Purge: Anarchy (2014), The Glades (2010-2013), A Perfect Getaway (2009)) is determined to make the public aware of the massacre of ninety-eight people about a year ago in her Alaskan town of Barrow. She wants them to know that a group of vampires was the cause of her people dying. Stella learns that Lilith (Mia Kirshner - The L Word (2004-2009), Not Another Teen Movie (2001), The Black Dahlia (2006), The Crow: City of Angels (1996)) is the vampire queen who is responsible for the murders in her Alaskan town. Stella and two others set off to Los Angeles to avenge the deaths of their people. Will Stella and her group succeed in their plans of killing the queen vampire?

30 Days of Night: Dark Days is a film that I would not recommend. Cinematographer Eric Maddison delivers crisp and bloody action set pieces which is one of the reasons this movie receives a two instead of a one which is the lowest score I can give. The gore was not missed and was not laid on lightly but was not overdone. The actors could have done a better job with their performances, but almost all of the staff fell short on their job.
