Cabin Fever (2016) is an American horror movie that is 99 minutes long and was shot in Oregon, USA. Cabin Fever is a horror movie remake revolving around a cabin in the woods with teenagers, gore, chaos, and a flesh-eating virus. Director Travis Zariwny (Scavengers (2013)) did a horrible job directing his first full-length movie that failed in almost every possible way. Cabin Fever is not a new director’s vision (I know it is a remake) because it appears to be the same script as Cabin Fever (2002), where the acting is worse, and there are major editing mistakes that are noticeable from a distance. I do not see the need for a remake to be made in a movie that is less than 15 years old, so it was a pointless remake that was a waste of money.
Cabin Fever is basically about the same as any other cabin fever movie. We have a bunch of kids/young adults going away to an isolated cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway so they can party hard, have fun, engage in s**ual acts, smoke whatever (weed), and encounter chaos as they are attacked. The folks/teenagers were attacked by a flesh-eating disease that melts its hosts into a cheesy substance.
I gave this movie a two because, with all said above, I have to admit it was well shot and professionally produced. Negative about the film, bland actors who did not show that much effort in their performances, no suspense, no thrills, no real storyline, cheesy cheap jokes, bad editing, goofs/mishaps, awful dialogue, and bad makeup job. The movie contains nudity, s**ual content, violence, foul language, and gore. I would recommend all horror fans stay clear of this film and watch a rerun of their favorite show.
