Aura Entertainment has announced the official release of Colin Minihan"s latest feature Coyotes. Trapped in their Hollywood Hills home, a family (Long, Bosworth, Harris) must fight for survival as a pack of savage coyotes closes in. Aura will bring the star-studded indie horror comedy to Fantastic Fest on September 20, followed by a national theatrical release on October 3.

The cast is led by Justin Long (Barbarian) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns). The real life couple and creative partners are joined in the horror comedy by Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters), Brittany Allen (What Keeps You Alive), Mila Harris (Mary), and Norbert Leo Butz (A Complete Unknown).

Coyotes will world premiere at Austin"s Fantastic Fest on September 20. Coyotes will officially open theatrically Friday, October 3 in theaters across the country.

Ahead of the release, Minihan shared, “I read the first draft of COYOTES and started laughing out loud. It had bite. It had chaos. And most importantly, it had fun. I was sitting with Britt, flipping pages, both of us wide-eyed and saying, "Okay, this is f***ing nuts.” That’s when I knew I wanted in.

This movie is sharp, fast, and unafraid to go for the jugular and the laugh. No social media screens. No hollow metaphors. Just characters who feel real, thrown into a story that knows exactly what it is and never slows down to apologize for it.
