Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004) shocked audiences with its ending. Our spoiler-free review explains the scares, themes, and what makes this film unforgettable.

Grant Harvey directed Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004) won a movie award for outstanding sound editing. Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning had an estimated CAD 3,500,000 budget.

Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning takes us back to the very beginning back in 19th century Canada. Brigette (Emily Perkins) and her sister Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) become the victims of a group of savage werewolves while they take refuge in a Traders’ Fort.

Ginger Snaps Back is the prequel to the Ginger Snaps series. Funny enough, this film stars the same two sisters/actresses as the first installment. The only thing is it takes place way before the first and second movies. It takes place when the British were now colonizing America and just starting to push westward. It is a tale of red and black, the two sisters. This tale is interesting, but I don’t know how it ties in as a prequel to the other two Ginger Snaps. It was another good Ginger Snaps movie but just didn’t tie in. I would recommend it as another good werewolf movie though.
