Gods of Egypt Plot Synopsis:
Set, the merciless god of darkness, has taken over the throne of Egypt and plunged the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Few dare to rebel against him. A young thief, whose love was taken captive by the god, seeks to dethrone and defeat Set with the aid of the powerful god Horus.
Alex Proyas" Gods of Egypt (2016) is getting bashed for having white actors playing Egyptian Gods and for not staying true to Egyptian beliefs; this is just a movie folks. I watched the trailer and thought the film looked pretty good and like something new and fresh. Gods of Egypt releases in movie theaters this upcoming February 26, 2016. The new film has an estimated budget of $140 million, and I hope it makes a big bang at the box office. Among the cast for Gods of Egypt include Rufus Sewell, Gerard Butler, Chadwick Boseman, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
