HellHorror’s review of Night of the Demons (1988) breaks down the plot, scares, cast performances, and its lasting impact on the horror genre.
Kevin Tenney‘s Night of the Demons (1988) is a demonic film that takes place on Halloween night. This unlucky group of teenagers encounters a terrifying night at Hull House. The teenagers perform a seance to conjure evil, and they get what they wanted, a demon as evil and gruesome that you may never see again in another film.
Night of the Demons (1988) features some very gruesome and bloody scenes, in a word, chilling. The transformations and special effects featured in this film are not for the faint. I actually had to look away a few times.
The story is basic, but you will not be focusing on the story that much, but it does carry you from one scene to the next. I did say I would rewatch this film, but I will give it some time, my stomach that is.
Cathy Podewell, Alvin Alexis, and Hal Havins star in this film of demonic entities turned into a night of Hell on Earth. This movie is creepy, spooky, and will make you a little nauseous.
