Recluse Plot Synopsis:
Synopsis / Plot Summary: Follows Joan, an audio engineer who lives a solitary life, struggling to determine whether the horrors she encounters are real and caused by past actions of her father, or if they are manifestations of her own troubled mind.

The project marks Chaisson’s feature writing-directing debut following his work as a screenwriter on Searchlight’s Antlers, produced by Guillermo del Toro, and M. Night Shyamalan’s supernatural mystery series Servant. Recluse tells the story of Joan, a solitary audio engineer who returns to her family"s decaying country estate after receiving a call from her ailing father, an acclaimed but reclusive artist rumored to have dabbled in the occult. Unearthing a malevolent secret decades in the making, Joan must determine whether the horrors she faces are the product of her father’s misdeeds or her own troubled mind.
Additional cast members include Frankie Seratch, Gillian Cooper, and Christine Nyland.
The film is the second production under Josh Lobo, Gillian Cooper, Rowan Russell, and Alex Dandino"s Restricted Pictures banner following their upcoming sci-fi thriller Night After Night. They produce alongside Chaisson, Katharina Windemuth, Bruno Corbin, Jayda Park, Andrew Merrill, and Beth Crudele. Executive Producing are Chaisson, Windemuth, Lobo, Cooper, Frankie Seratch, and Cailla O’Shea.
