Asmodexia Plot Synopsis:

Roaming Spain's rugged countryside, a pair of travelling exorcists--the grizzled preacher, Eloy de Palma, and his gifted young granddaughter, Alba--attempt to free the immortal souls of the unfortunate ones who are grievously afflicted by the mark of the demonic Evil One. Under those circumstances and with only a few days away before the cryptic "Resurrection" takes place, Eloy and Alba find themselves embarking on a desperate and frenzied exorcism spree, as more and more people become possessed by the evil entity. But, can they make it in time?

Marc Carreté"s new demon exorcism movie Asmodexia (2014) will hit movie theaters and VOD this September 26, 2014 thanks to IFC Midnight. I have been stoked to see this horror movie after first catching wind of it a little while ago. Grandfather pastor Eloy de Palma and his granddaughter Alba will face a demonic possession by The Evil One. This possession will span the entire Barcelona so I am very interested to see how this film plays out. Cast in Asmodexia are Albert Baró, Marta Belmonte and Pepo Blasco.

ASMODEXIA concerns Eloy de Palma, an exorcist pastor roaming the darkest corners of the country with his granddaughter Alba. Their mission is to help those possessed by The Evil One, an infection of the soul that is spreading fast, especially among the most vulnerable members of society: children, mental patients, and drug addicts. There is also a mysterious cult following them, making it more difficult to help those in need. Each exorcism is tougher than the one before, and every battle with Evil reveals a piece of young Alba’s forgotten past – an enigma that if unconcealed could change the world as we know it.
