ClownTown Plot Synopsis:

A group of friends get stranded in a seemingly deserted small town and find themselves stalked by a violent gang of psychopaths dressed as clowns.

Update: ClownTown will release in movie theaters starting September 30, 2016, with the VOD and DVD on October 4, 2016, via ITN Distribution.

Tom Nagel"s ClownTown (2016) will be distributed by ITN and Archstone. This clown film is inspired by the clowns who terrorized Bakersfield, CA in 2014. Brian Nagel (of the Katy Perry music video "Roar"), Lauren Elise (star of Justin Lin"s new Google Spotlight Story "Help"), Katie Keene (UNION FURNACE), Andrew Staton ("Relentless"), Jeff Denton (THE BEAST OF BRAY ROAD), Greg Violand (BATMAN V. SUPERMAN), Maryanne Nagel (INTO THE STORM), Kaitlyn Sapp ("Banshee"), David H. Greathouse, Chris Hahn (Paul Bunyan from AXE GIANT), Ryan Pilz, Beki Ingram, and Alan Tuskes star in ClownTown.

ITN Distribution, Inc., has acquired North American rights to the horror thriller CLOWNTOWN. Written by Jeff Miller (Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan) and directed by Tom Nagel (The Retrieval), the film stars Brian Nagel (Katy Perry"s "Roar"), Lauren Elise (Justin Lin"s Help), Andrew Staton (Relentless), Katie Keene (Union Furnace), Jeff Denton (The Beast of Bray Road), and Greg Violand (Batman v. Superman).

CLOWNTOWN will roll out in theaters starting September 30, 2016, and on VOD and DVD on October 4, 2016. ITN

Distribution"s President Stuart Alson made the announcement today. "ITN Distribution is excited to bring CLOWNTOWN to North American audiences," said Alson.

"Stuart and ITN want to help us scare people with our killer clowns, so we"re excited for them to be handing our North American distribution," said Miller.

CLOWNTOWN tells the story of a group of friends who get stranded in a seemingly abandoned town and find themselves stalked by a gang of violent psychopaths dressed as clowns. It is loosely inspired by the clowns who terrorized Bakersfield, California, in 2014.

CLOWNTOWN was produced by Jeff Miller, Tom Nagel, Brian Nagel, Christopher Lawrence Chapman, and Ronnie D. Lee. Robert Kurtzman (creator of From Dusk Till Dawn) co-produced. David H. Greathouse (Syfy"s "FaceOff," Tusk) handled the bulk of the makeup FX. Stuart Alson of ITN Distribution negotiated the deal along with Jeff Miller and CT Films LLC on behalf of the film.

Archstone Distribution is handling foreign sales.
