Update: 03-05-2015: Release date has been pushed forward to a new earlier release date of May 22, 2015 from the previous July 24, 2015. I just cannot wait to see the Poltergeist Remake, awesome news!

The Poltergeist (2015), The Poltergeist remake, is official and has been pushed back to a release date of July 24, 2015 from the previous release date of February 2015. This is one week after Marvel"s Ant-Man (2015) release date. I am especially excited to see how director Gil Kenan, out of Monster House (2006) fame especially to my children, will handle this new franchise based on the classic horror movie Poltergeist (1982) with Sam Raimi collaborating on the movie too. This all sounds great and 20th Century Fox may have a real winner here! Starring in The Poltergeist remake are Sam Rockwell, Jared Harris and Rosemarie DeWitt.

Synopsis / Plot Summary:  Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan reimagine and contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.
