Our honest review of Stripperland (2011) breaks down its scares, pacing, and whether this horror movie truly stands the test of time.
Sean Skelding directed Stripperland (2011) as a zombie horror comedy film to be taken very lightly. Stripperland was filmed on an estimated $500,000 movie budget. Starring Ben Sheppard, Maren McGuire, Jamison Challeen, and Ileane Herrin. With special appearances by Gilbert Gottfried, Daniel Baldwin, Thom Bray, Linnea Quigley, Boyd Banks, and Lloyd Kaufman.
Stripperland may sound funny but in this world, it houses a large variety of female zombies looking to tear men up and eat them alive, they are ravenous zombies after all. A group of male geeks makes it to Stripperland, and now they must survive the bloodthirsty women.
Stripperland is not a film where you should look for a deeper story or plot than the very simple; geeks must survive the female zombies. The performances from the lead cast are rough but watchable. The special effects are better than most and gruesome looking. Stripperland is better as a late night watch to get a few chuckles out of.
