Our take on Warlock III: The End Of Innocence (1999) explores its plot, scares, and horror highlights to help fans decide if it deserves a place on their watchlist.

Warlock III: The End of Innocence (1999) is an American fantasy horror movie that is the third film in its series that was started with Warlock (1989). Director and co-writer Eric Freiser (Swindle (2013), Road to Ruin (1991), Take Out the Beast (1995)) did an excellent job executing this movie. I was a little disappointed that this movie had nothing to do with its previous two entries. The movie contains it all from apparitions, gore, suspense, reincarnations, doors slamming by itself, house with the catacombs under it, violence, and warlock sorcery. Some of the scenes appear to be a cliche, but the movie had enough to stand apart from others.

Warlock III is about Kris Miller(Ashley Laurence - Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002), Red (2008)) does not know anything about her parents/past because she was adopted. She repeatedly would have dreams about a doll and things that she does not know. She has inherited a house that belong to her biological family’s bloodline and plans on visiting the house. She is hoping to find out more information about her family and also obtaining the heirlooms in the house before it is demolished. Kris visits the creepy old mansion and soon wished that she had stayed clear of the house after she experienced supernatural phenomenons. Things in the house were sent back to being normal after her friends arrived. Warlock Phillip Covington (Bruce Payne - Passenger 57 (1992), Dungeons & Dragons (2000), Highlander: Endgame (2000), Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God (2005)) made friends with Kris’s friends while secretly killing people and conjuring some spells. Phillip wants to earn her friend’s trust so that he can use them to get to her.

The backstory is that Phillip had wanted to sacrifice Kris, but Kris’s mother captured Phillip and locked him in the Catacombs of his home. Phillip got free from the catacomb after Kris’ friend Jerry (Jan Schweiterman - Good Burger (1997), Fallen Arches (1998), Wasted (1996)) accidentally breaks the pipe while trying to fix it. Phillip escaped disguising himself as a fluid coming out of the pipe. Philip introduced himself as an architect, and he and Kris went to meet the historian to find out more information about the house. It did not take long for Phillip to gruesomely kill the historian with his magic. The movie is one to see, and horror fans should not miss it. One of Kris’ friends is a witch, and she is with them in the house. Will Kris’ witch friend save them from the warlock?

The actors all did a phenomenal job with their roles. The special effects were done nicely as was the cinematography. I will watch this movie again with friends and family. The movie was different in many ways although some scenes appear to be a cliche.
