The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist Plot Synopsis:

In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to London, England, where single mother Peggy Hodgson believes that something evil is in her home. When Peggy's youngest daughter starts showing signs of demonic possession, Ed and Lorraine attempt to help the besieged girl, only to find themselves targeted by the malicious spirits.

James Wan returns to direct New Line Cinema"s The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist (2016) with Warner Bros. releasing The Conjuring Sequel on June 10, 2016. Originally The Conjuring 2 was going to release in movie theaters on October 23, 2016 but has been pushed up to the new date.

The Enfield Poltergeist real life supernatural activity occurred at a council house in the north London suburb of Enfield between 1977 - 1979. Peggy Hodgson rented the house as a single mother raising her four children Margaret (12), Janet (11), Johnny (10), and Billy (7). The reported paranormal activity included moving furniture, levitation of the children, a ghost communicating through Janet and escalating to demonic possession.

This will put The Conjuring 2 to compete with Lionsgate"s Now You See Me 2 (2016) and Sony"s Naughty Dog Uncharted (2016) based on the popular video game franchise.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga totally nail their roles. They make you believe they’re these seasoned ghost hunters. And the family they’re helping? You really feel bad for them with all the wild, scary stuff happening in their house.

What I love about "The Conjuring 2" is how it keeps that classic horror feel. It’s all about building up the tension and then BAM, hitting you with a scare. And the way they handle the ghost scenes? Chills, seriously.

I like watching it because it’s more than just things going bump in the night. It’s got those jump-out-of-your-seat moments, but there’s also a solid story to keep you glued to the screen. Plus, the fact that it's based on a real case just adds to the spook factor.
