Before I Wake Plot Synopsis:

In this intense and heart pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody's dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody's imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody's nightmares.

Mike Flanagan strikes again as a director after his Oculus (2013) horror film that I personally liked a lot with his new horror film Before I Wake (2015). Before I Wake is set for a September 25, 2015 release. I watched the trailer, and I was very intrigued by the story. Before I Wake is a nice spin on something a little done already. I really love the horror films that have children in them as the main focus, and this is just one of them. A young boy can manifest either splendid dreams or nightmares. The dreams are beautiful while the nightmares are horrific. Cast in Before I Wake are Thomas Jane, Kate Bosworth, and Annabeth Gish.
