Why Watch Scream
So, have you ever seen "Scream"? It came out in '96 and basically turned the whole horror movie scene upside down. It starts with this intense scene where a high school girl gets this super creepy phone call and boom – it’s a killer on the line. The whole movie is about these high school kids, including this girl Sidney, trying to figure out who this masked killer is.
What’s wild about "Scream" is the killer is all about horror movies. He asks trivia questions about them and then kind of uses what happens in those movies to scare people in real life. So, Sidney and her friends are dealing with normal stuff like school and drama, but also this crazy situation of trying to avoid getting caught by this ghost-masked killer.
The thing that makes "Scream" really cool is how it jokes about all those horror movie clichés – you know, like the “rules” to survive a horror flick – while also being pretty scary itself. It's got some real jumpy moments and keeps you on edge.
"Scream" got pretty famous for shaking up how people saw horror movies. It’s smart, has some funny bits, and keeps you guessing who's behind all the creepy stuff. And that ghost mask? Yeah, that became a huge deal after this movie.
If you dig horror movies but also like something that’s a bit clever and tongue-in-cheek, "Scream" is a classic. It's great for a movie night when you want some scares but also something that’s kinda in on the joke. Just be prepared for some freaky phone calls and trying to guess who’s hiding behind that mask!
