The Blair Witch Project Plot Synopsis:

In search of a local legend, three bold amateur documentarians--director, Heather; cameraman, Josh; sound recorder, Mike--hike into Burkittsville's gloomy Black Hills Forest to find a shadow: the fabled Blair Witch. Now, one long year later--after that fateful October of 1994--there's still no sign of the student filmmakers, apart from the raw footage they left behind. Who knows what truly happened during their creepy five-day journey into the mouth of madness? Was there, indeed, an intangible supernatural presence in the dark woods that led to the team's disappearance? Either way, the missing trio must have seen something. Could the nightmarish myth be real?

Synopsis / Plot Summary: Three film students vanish after traveling into a Maryland forest to film a documentary on the local Blair Witch legend, leaving only their footage behind.

Tagline: In October of 1994 three student filmmakers disappeared in the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland, while shooting a documentary...A year later their footage was found.

Victory International Film Festival in association with Blood Moon Pictures presents a Special 25th Anniversary screening of The Blair Witch Project. Producer Gregg Hale will be in attendance to meet fans. Gregg has written, directed and produced many genre projects including V/H/S 2, FreakyLinks, Exists, Lovely Molly, 50 States of Fright and is currently set to produce Marcus Dunstan’s project Hooked Up. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Gregg hosted by Ted Haycraft, where fans of the Blair Witch franchise will have a one-on-one opportunity to delve deeper into the mythos of this horror phenom. This will be an incredible event film fans won’t want to miss. Come help us celebrate our 5th Anniversary in a big way.

The screening will take place on Friday, September 13th, 2024, at Showplace Cinema East in Evansville, Indiana. Film starts at 7 PM. Tickets are $10.
